Refunds, Exchanges, and Returns

We want delighted customers.  If you are not happy with any Virant product we want to make it right.  Please review the guidelines below for all returns and exchanges.

General Return Information

We do not require a Return Material Authorization (RMA) number, however please contact us via email before shipping anything back to us.

Returned items will only be accepted if returned back to us in the condition that they were received by you, with all parts and original packaging included.

You are responsible to ensure that we receive the return back. Please keep all tracking and documentation once you ship your item back so it can be available if necessary.

Version Exchanges

If you ordered the wrong version of a product for the release of VISUAL that you are on, we will be happy to exchange it for the correct one.  Let us know what you need right away.  We will enter a new order for the replacement product including shipping charges for the replacement product.  The original order will remain outstanding and be cleared by a credit memo once the exchanged item is received at Virant in resalable condition.  Note that only the price of the returned item will be credited, shipping charges will be made.  You are also responsible for shipping charges for the returned product.

Exchange of Defective or Incorrect Product

Notify us immediately if you need to exchange a defective product or if we did not ship the item and version you ordered.  We will ship out a replacement at once and give you instructions for returning the defective item.  We will pay all charges for both the replacement shipment and the return shipment.

Satisfaction Guarantee

If you are not happy with one of our products we want you to return it!  We offer no-haggle returns for 30 days from the date of receipt.  We don't have demo software since we believe the best way to evaluate a product is by using it.  If a product does not meet your needs or live up to your expectations, then feel free to ship it back.  All you will be out is the shipping charges.  We do not have a restocking fee.

While we don't require an explanation for the return, it would be helpful to know why you are dissatisfied.  We are a small, responsive company so more often than not we change product design to meet customer requirements.

Damaged Shipments

If you receive a damaged shipment, please refuse the package upon original delivery attempt. If damaged shipments are accepted from the carrier, such damage should be noted on the carrier delivery record.  Please save the product and the original box and packaging and notify us immediately to arrange for a carrier inspection and a pick up of damaged products. Please notify us within the first 10 days of receipt.  Timely receipt of this information is necessary to file a damage claim with the carrier.  We will ship replacement product immediately.

Refunds

Refunds will be made once all conditions for the return or exchange are satisfied.

Funds will be returned in the same form of the original payment method, unless otherwise directed.

Shipping and handling charges will not be refunded unless the refund is related to correcting a mistake we made.
